Ok, I’ll admit it, I’ve been watching way too much Law and Order: SVU lately. Another thing, I’m sort of, minorly, just a wee bit, completely terrified of New York city right now. So much brutality, conspiracies, and this is only what they come up with on TV. There’s something to be said for the phrase, ‘you can’t make this stuff up.’ While I’ve rarely let a feeling  like fear or anxiety stop me from exploring and experiencing a new place, New York is just on my ‘be wary of your shit’ list.

I intentionally chose this photo of mine from New York to show the dark side neighboring with the light.

Is there anywhere better for New Year’s Eve than New York City watching the ball drop? Not that I’ve ever done it or anything, friends from Philadelphia have survived to tell me their tales about it and I can’t decide if I want to go through the hassle or not. It looks gorgeous, but millions of other people seem to feel the same way and let’s be realistic here, the idea of standing outside for hours in weather colder than 60 degrees Fahrenheit sounds like absolute torture. That’s what Tuesday Travel photos are for though, whimsical ideas of being in places at times that I could never possibly be in them.

I'm pretty sure this is the only ball dropping in that cold of weather

Guess who’s backkkkkk? Haven’t cranked out any vacation blogs yet, but I’ll tide you over with a Tuesday Travel Photo for some kicks and giggles. Can you tell the theme for the month is some sort of autumnfest? I think it’ll be beach next month with the photos I took from vacation, but until then…

There’s something magical about fall in New York city. Not like I’ve experienced it yet or anything, but I will. I don’t know if it’s fashion week, fashion in general, or the beautiful leaves, but really, October, New York, and I were meant to be. Big Apple, get ready for me.
